ourier reconstruction of nonuniformly sampled , aliased seismic data
There are numerous methods for interpolating uniformly sampled, aliased seismic data, but few can handle the combination of nonuniform sampling and aliasing. We combine the principles of Fourier reconstruction of nonaliased, nonuniformly sampled data with the ideas of frequency-wavenumber f-k interpolation of aliased, uniformly sampled data in a new two-step algorithm. In the first step, we est...
متن کاملOptimally tapered periodograms for nonuniformly sampled data
In this paper, we design tapers for the periodogram in the case of nonuniformly sampled data. We consider both data independent and data dependent taper designs. In the data independent design case, we derive tapers by minimizing either the integrated sidelobe level or the peak sidelobe level of the spectral window. In the data dependent case, we extend the design by allowing the tapers to be c...
متن کاملMethods for Spectral Analysis of Nonuniformly Sampled Signals
The key element of Digital Alias-free Signal Processing (DASP) technology is the application of nonuniform sampling. In this case majority of the conventional signal processing algorithms cannot be directly applied. For the implementation of DASP, a set of new approaches was developed. The paper discusses several approaches suitable for spectral analysis of nonuniformly sampled signals. These i...
متن کاملIterative Next-Neighbor Regridding (INNG): improved reconstruction from nonuniformly sampled k-space data using rescaled matrices.
The reconstruction of MR images from nonrectilinearly sampled data is complicated by the fact that the inverse 2D Fourier transform (FT) cannot be performed directly on the acquired k-space data set. k-Space gridding is commonly used because it is an efficient reconstruction method. However, conventional gridding requires optimized density compensation functions (DCFs) to avoid profile distorti...
متن کاملMaximum entropy spectral analysis
A review of the maximum entropy spectral analysis (MESA) method for time series is presented. Then, empirical evidence based on maximum entropy spectra of real seismic data is shown to suggest that M = 2N/ ln 2N is a reasonable a priori choice of the operator length M for discrete time series of length N . Various data examples support this conclusion.
